Jerusalem, 23 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — As part of the ongoing Operation “Iron Network” – the war against Violent Crime in Arab Communities – the police are carrying out daily criminal suppression operations through raids and arrests, and seizing large quantities of Weapons and illegal drugs.
In a raid by regional detectives in Kiryat Yam and the village of Jedida-Makhar in the north of Israel, two Glock pistols with cartridges were seized and a suspect was arrested.
During operations in Nahariya and the northern Arab village Kafr Yasif, approximately 29,000 Shekels in cash, dozens of ammunition pellets, and drugs suspected to be crystal meth, cannabis, ecstasy, and MDMA in commercial quantities were seized.
As part of an anti-drug trafficking operation by Western Galilee police, two suspects, residents of Kafr Yasif in their 20s, sold drugs on several different occasions to an undercover policewoman. Both were arrested and imprisoned.
