Jerusalem, 7 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A chase after a female driver attempting to flee Border Guard forces in Lod led to the Arrest of 35 Palestinians illegally staying in Israel, police said on Tuesday morning.
During the chase, the vehicle arrived near a residential complex in the city of Lod, where three suspects got out of it and ran towards a hidden apartment. Border Police forces searching the apartment found dozens of illegal Palestinians hiding there.
The driver, a 42-year-old resident of eastern Jerusalem was arrested.
In a separate operation, police detained 12 additional illegal residents found in a minibus and arrested its driver.
