The Rabbi was evacuated in critical condition to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Upon receiving the report, Israel Police officers from the Netanya station, under the command of the station commander, arrived at the scene and launched an investigation and extensive searches to locate the suspect, who is suspected of frequenting the Rabbi’s yeshiva. An initial investigation revealed that the suspect arrived at the Rabbi’s home, stabbed him, and fled the scene. The commander of the Central District, Superintendent Amir Cohen, held a situation assessment at the scene and assigned the investigation to the Sharon District Detective Unit. Meanwhile, following a manhunt, the suspect was arrested in the central area of Netanya. The suspect (Netanya, in his 20s) was taken for investigation on suspicion of murder. The investigation is ongoing. Concurrently, Israel Police officers from the Central District are preparing to secure the Rabbi’s funeral procession, attended by thousands of mourners, while maintaining public safety and order.
