Jerusalem, 29 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — In an aerial strike in northern Gaza on Sunday, IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror General Security Service) eliminated Zahir Barham Khalil Abu Salem, a terrorist from the Gaza-based Islamic Jihad terror organization who infiltrated Israel on October 7 and took part in the abduction of civilians.
Abu Salem took part in the abduction of Israeli civilians from their homes and their holding in captivity.
In addition, throughout the war and also recently, Abu Salem attempted to promote numerous terror plots against IDF forces and civilians of the State of Israel.
The IDF said that Abu Salem posed a threat to its forces operating in Gaza.
